CODE OF CONDUCT

Comply Tex promotes the following internationally-accepted standards to ensure a positive working environment which is safe and clean, in which people are treated with dignity and respect. Comply Tex expects and helps its partners to implement these standards. Comply Tex monitors and evaluates their implementation to ensure compliance and improvement where necessary.

 
 
 

Children are not employed below the age of 14 or the legal minimum age of the country, whichever is higher. Employers do not use forced, bonded or prison labor. Employees are not required to lodge “deposits” or their identity papers with their employer and are free to leave their employer after reasonable notice. The workplace is free from physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse. Employers implement a non-retaliation policy to allow employees to express concerns about working conditions without fear of any form of discrimination or discipline. Employers recruit, train and promote employees on equal terms on the basis of their ability to do their job, without discrimination based on national, social or ethnic origin, religion, age, disability, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation. All disciplinary measures are recorded. Employees under the age of 18 do not work at night or in hazardous conditions.

 
 
 

Employers provide safe and hygienic working conditions for all employees and do not subject them to dangerous working practices. Accommodation, where provided, meets the basic needs of the employee and is kept clean and safe.

 
 
 
Working hours comply with national or local laws. Employees are not required to work more than 60 hours in any one week, including voluntary overtime. Employees are entitled to at least one day off in every 7-day period and are entitled to receive paid leave in accordance with national or local law.

 
 
 

Employees are paid at least the minimum legal wage or a wage which meets local industry standard, whichever is greater. Wages payments are paid directly to the employee. Employers provide written, understandable information about wages paid. Employers do not discipline employees with deductions from wages. Employers do not make any other deductions from wages except those provided for by law. All deductions are agreed with the employee. Employers do not avoid the rights due to regular employees by any means, including home-working, subcontracting or the excessive use of temporary workers or apprentices.

 
 
Employers respect the right of employees to collective bargaining, to organize or to join an association of their own choosing. Employers adopt an open attitude towards the activities of such associations.
 
 
 

Employers comply with all relevant laws and regulations regarding the protection and preservation of the environment.

 
 
 

Comply Tex does not promote subcontracting but for urgent need approved subcontractors, who promote the same code of conduct, can be used.

 
 
 
Comply Tex expects their partners will guarantee the Acceptable Quality Level at least at a standard of 2.5 for major and 4.0 for minor defects for productions
 
 
 

The partners allow approved monitors to monitor and evaluate the implementation of the code of conduct to ensure compliance and improvement where necessary.
